This bag is a great little project for those who are new to crocheting and it makes a great 1 day project.
Follow along with the youtube video or use the written pattern at the very end of the post. I created this pattern so I appologize in advanced for any errors.
What you need to Begin:
- size 4 mm crochet hook
- 1 skein of Bernat Cotton Yarn
- bottle of wine (optional)
Instructions with Pictures
The base of bag is started with a chain of 5, closed to make a ring and 17 double crochet around the ring. The second row is created by crocheting 2 DC in each stitch around.
To make the 3rd row crochet 1 sc, sk 1, 5 dc, sk 2 and repeat 7 times. This creates a fans or shells which make the base of the pattern. Starting the pattern on the next row, work in the middle double crochet stitch and crochet 3 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc and repeat 7 times (one per shell).
